Wayward Daughter

Wayward Daughter
I don't know if I've ever mentioned by I absolutely hate "She's got a passion for fashion" I choose it on a whim over 3 years ago. All the names I wanted were taken and I took it (slightly tweaked) from the lyrics of an old Braid song. Back then blogging was a totally foreign concept to me, I never thought it would grow into what it is today... Whatever that might be.

I'm no stranger to name change, when I was 12 years old I sat on my bed and wrote a list of my favourite names then adamantly explained to my Mum that when I moved school I was going to change my name. Clearly I was a precocious little madam because I followed through with it, a few months later I changed my name from Drustic (I feel that it is needless to explain why I choose to change it) to Caitlin. I always think that if you don't like something, do something about it. I have completely outgrown SGAPFF so it was time for a change!

Though I've been thinking about it for a while, I didn't plan the name change. Last night it just felt like the right time so I bought the domain, then Adam redesigned the header and here we are. Sometime over the next couple of days all traffic will be directed straight to waywarddaughter.com. Currently both sites are active but all feeds should be automatically redirected once the switch is fully implemented, you don't have to do anything. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for your patience, if you have any questions feel free to contact me -info@waywarddaughter.com x

  2. As I already mentioned, I love the name and wish I had been clever enough to think of it! :o Congratulations on the change! I've updated my link list.

I have always disliked my name, Maria Therese. It sounds like a mean old nun. Plus, hispanic people always ask me why I'm named Maria, like because I'm not hispanic I can't have the name. Just irks me. Hello, I'm Italian and German! Both have strong histories with that name. I wish I had been brave enough as a kid to change it. Now, I just deal. The upside, there are a lot of songs that have my name, so it's not all bad.

  4. ah, i changed my name when i was younger as well! people had a hard time pronouncing it (maurissa = mer-eese-uh) and were generally very lazy about even trying to do it correctly so at 12 i christened myself "mo" and it has been that way ever since!

  10. Again, congratulations on your new start my dear, I love the name you chose and the new header (well done Adam!), it must feel so refreshing for you! If we lived in the same town I would have brought you a pretty plant (like you do when someone starts living in a new house!) :D
