On Saturday we packed up the car and headed for the beach to celebrate my friend Becky's birthday. We barbecued, toasted the birthday girl with Prosecco in jam jars and made friends with a lovely dog named Jess. Then basked in the sunshine chatting until everyone decided to to paddle and play frisbee, so Adam and I snuck off to take some photographs and investigate the rock pools. It was actually so hot that I had to wear my jacket because my shoulders were burning up!

When we returned my dear friends bullied me into swimming in the sea, since I live in Scotland I didn't even think to bring a bikini and ended up swimming (read: jumping in the waves) wearing my nice new frock. I would entirely recommend it, it was the most fun I've had in ages only then a huge wave completely engulfed me and my sunglasses were swept away, never to be seen again. I am really quite heart broken, any ideas where I can find a similar pair?

These photos are lovely :) Is that dog yours? He is adorable xxx

This is magical! I been collecting jam jars (any jars) over the past few months so I can do the same. So cute! x x x
ReplyDeleteErm wow! This looks incredible, the weather, how quiet it looks and you jumping in the sea with your clothes on is such a great image! :) x
ReplyDeleteOuch! So sorry for your sunnies Cait :(
ReplyDeleteI'd try to look for a similar pair on etsy, there are so many vintage beauties out there and usually more affordable than Asos or UO ones.
On a brighter note, your retro inspired pedicure looks amazing! I shall get myself some of those circular stickers ;)

These photos are absolutely beautiful & what a gorgeous beach!! Ahh, looks like a little slice of heaven. I'm also love, loving your pretty summer outfit! Gorgeous dress and it's perfectly paired with your denim jacket + skinny belt. xx veronika
ReplyDeleteAwwww, I'm sorry about your sunglasses but I totally think everyone should swim in the Scottish sea at least once in their life. I made the mistake of trying in February out near North Berwick and it was incredibly unpleasant. Gorgeous photos xo
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your sunnies! Your denim jacket makes a chic cover-up!

Urban Outfitters have very similar glasses like that. in both brown and black in the sale for £5. (okay i might work there...). I like them as they are a bit almost famous-y.

This looks like a lovely day at the beach! Great way to celebrate your friends birthday! x
ReplyDeleteThat sucks you lost your sunglasses! Forever 21 always has about a million pairs, and since they're like $3 you can afford to lose them in the ocean!
ReplyDeleteThe perfect day! Prosecco in jam jars gets a big puffy heart from me!
