Season of mists

Crisp leaves under foot, pumpkin baked into cakes and the comforting scent Woolite and lanolin. I adore autumn, there is something so completely reassuring about that time of the year that I cannot resist. The only thing better than September to November is the the anticipation. When the AW collections start to trickle in I go into a mild panic and trying to find the perfect winter coat and cosy woollens.

For me autumn is all about mixing textures and mixing masculine jumpers with feminine dresses. When this time of year rolls around you are likely to find me rummaging in Adams wardrobe or perusing the mens section under the guise of buying for him. I recently realised that I own more grey jumpers than there are days in the week so it is high time that I introduced some colour. I think that this ocher cable knit jumper fits the bill. Buying clothes at this time of year is also about buying versatile pieces that will see you through until spring. A pale lace dress is always a staple in my wardrobe because it can be styled in so many different ways.
